Korean pop star Rain and actress Kim Tae-hee will be tying the knot next month.
The two stars will get married on February 19 at a cathedral, according to a Korean news report.
Rain, 34, confirmed that he is getting married in a letter he posted on Twitter on January 17.
“I am becoming the head of a family. We have decided to get married as our trust and love for each other has grown. She is the best present for me,” he wrote, according to ENewsWorld.
Rain—or Jung Ji-hoon—said they want the ceremony to be as quiet and reverent as possible.
“I’m grateful for your love for the last 16 years,” he told fans.
Rain and Kim, 36, met in 2011 in a commercial shoot and started dating the following year.
Their relationship was revealed when a Korean entertainment site published photos of them on a date in January 2013, while Rain was fulfilling his mandatory military service. He was discharged from conscription in July the same year.
Rain just made his comeback to the music scene with the single “The Best Present,” which was produced by rapper Psy.
