Philippines and Pinoy EXO-Ls

During their conversations with fans, EXO members talked about the Philippines.

Chanyeol, who studied in the country 10 years ago, has fond memories of the Philippines.

“For me, the Philippines was the country I visited when I first went abroad when I was in middle school. So I really have some affection for the Philippines. I really look forward to coming here more often,” he revealed.

“When I think about the Philippines, (I think) soft, warm, passionate, beautiful. Thank you for giving me this memorable moment.”

Suho said, “Personally I want to go to Boracay and Cebu (but) my favorite place in the Philippines is Manila because of you EXO-L. I’m so happy.”

EXO members were impressed and surprised by the warm reaction of Filipino fans. EXO fan clubs in the country held banners that read “Our love is unstoppable” and “We love you, bes” to show their support for the boys.

Suho saw the banners and said, “A while ago, we saw an event from you, EXO-Ls. We think so. Our love is unstoppable, endless and forever.”

Fans also stomped their feet to the beat of the music and sang along. The fervor had got EXO members taken aback.

“The reaction from the Philippines is really passionate. I thought we were performing in front of 70,000 people. I felt so good today,” said Kai.

Suho told fans, “You make us crazy. It’s been a long time since we visited here. I was really surprised and impressed with you guys. (You’re) amazing. Awesome. My precious.”

“You guys are following all the lyrics,” Chen noted to which Suho asked fans, “Do you have a Korea, K-pop academy (in the Philippines)? I was really surprised. I am so proud (of you).”

“You really have the energy. I really felt good today,” added Xiumin, who joked that “when I first heard this (stomping), I thought the ceiling will collapse.”

Baekhyun was also so impressed by the warm reception that he declared, “I think this will be one of our most impressive concerts.”

“I’m really satisfied today,” D.O. said while Sehun commented, “I’m so thankful, surprised and happy for your reactions today.”
EXO promised to do another concert in the country.

“It was really awesome today. When we meet again next time, I hope I can have this happy concert again,” said Baekhyun.

Suho ended, “We promise to come and see you again, Philippines. Let’s not ever forget tonight. I’m really, really thankful to you guys, Philippine EXO-Ls.”

This was a lovely article. Just one correction, they did not perform Monodrama as that is a solo SM Station project from Lay, EXO’s Chinese member who did not make it to the Manila stop of their EXO’rDIUM tour.
