K-pop boy band BTS, the survival TV show “Produce 101” Season 2 and Korea’s presidential election were the most mentioned Korean keywords in the first half of 2017.
Twitter Korea analyzed data from Jan. 1 to June 30 this year and came up with a Top 10 list in music, TV and film, and social categories.
BTS topped the music ranking with EXO in second place. BTS, with 6.72 million followers on Twitter, won the Top Social Artist award at the 2017 Billboard Music Award (BBMA) in May.
Others in the Top 10 are Red Velvet, TWICE, I.O.I, Highlight, G-Friend, GOT7, Sechs Kies and Lovelyz.
