Like most celebs, singer-comedienne Kakai Bautista maintains active presence on social media.

She loves it that the platform allows her to reach out to fans, even if it means having to contend with bashers.

Just recently, a few netizens took offense with her posting a photo wearing a sexy bikini. They also made sure she knew about it.

Though admittedly hurt, Kakai simply shrugs it all off.

As if addressing her critics directly, she added, “Kung na-u-umay ka, kung napapangitan ka, ’wag kang tumingin.

Kakai is thankful her friends, particularly actress-singer Maja Salvador, are always around to help alleviate the hassle.

“Sobrang positive ng pananaw niya sa buhay,” she said about Maja.

Kakai confides in Maja and vice-versa.

To attest to their closeness, Kakai related she and Maja often “threaten” each other.

Foolish love

Kakai admitted she’s been foolish in love but she believes, “Pinograma ni Lord ’yan sa atin eh.

Lahat tayo naging shunga sa pag-ibig, walang perfect,” she added.

Kakai may be single but she is happy spending time with friends.

“Tumawa (tayo), magmahal, at mabuhay.”

Work it

It is probably no coincidence it echoes the title of her new show, “Live, Love, Laugh,” happening at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Resorts World Manila today.

“Live, Love, Laugh” sees Kakai reunite with ace comedian and impersonator Jon Santos whom she worked with early this year via “EJK: Extra Judicial Kidding.”

“Iba naman atake ko dito,” she said. “Kung sa ‘EJK’ marami akong ginawang kanta, sa ‘Live, Love, Laugh,’ more on monologues ako.”

Kakai added, “Maganda rito eh spontaneous ako, kasi wala talaga akong sinusundang script. So everything I will do on ‘Live Love Laugh’ more on improv.”

Joining Kakai and Jon on the show are the comedic group Isprikitik Improv composed of musicians, actors, singers, composers, and dancers.

Meanwhile, Kakai is also currently shooting an upcoming Filipino horror film dubbed “The Ghost Bride” co-starring Kim Chiu and Matteo Guidicelli.
