Andrea Torres now knows popularity comes with a price and the currency is called online bashers.

She used to exchange heated words with them but not anymore.

“So ’di na ako pumapatol na as in nang-a-away. More on reminders na lang, parang, one time sabi ko, ‘Uy, Sunday ngayon. Mag-church ka na lang.’”

She doesn’t even bother to disable the comment section on her social media accounts.

Obviously, Andrea would rather focus on more important things. She is reprising her role as Venus in book two of “Alyas Robin Hood,” and to prepare for it, she immersed in Wushu, Muay Thay, boxing, and firing.

“Ngayon may isa pa rin po akong tina-try na weapon, parang sina-suggest ko lang na baka pwede for Venus,” she revealed without giving more details.

She divulged it felt weird for her to get into martial arts at this point as “’di po talaga ako mahilig sa boyish na activities.”

Andrea also takes time to watch action films. Among her favorites are “Colombiana,” “Entrapment” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

New experiences

Andrea revealed she has had so many firsts doing “Alyas Robin Hood.”

“First time ko pong mag two-piece onscreen sa ‘Alyas’ eh tsaka po ’yung mag-action scenes na medyo delikado ’yung damit, na naka-heels. First time ko din po mag-fight scenes sa bubong, marami po eh pati po ’yung pag handle ng katana na sword.”

She completely trusts show director Dominic Zapata.

She is grateful to be cast in the show again as “’di naman po lahat nabibigyan ng chance na ulitin ’yung role nila.”

“Alyas Robin Hood” book two airs on GMA-7.
