Former Bridges of Love co-stars Maja Salvador and Paulo Avelino have reunited in the romantic-comedy indie film “I’m Drunk, I Love You.”
The movie, produced by Tuko Film Productions and Buchi Boy Films, follows the story of two college best friends who have been hiding their feelings for each other.
The one-minute preview of the movie already made waves on social media—on Facebook, the trailer has garnered a total of 400,000 views—with the “hugot” line “Time check, umaasa ka pa rin” making an impact among viewers.
The film promises to show real love story rather than an ideal one.
“We have been overexposed with love stories that have convenient happy endings, filled with hope. [But] not all love stories have the ‘meet-cutes’, ‘that pleasant surprises’ [that] await every turn,” director JP Habac said about film.
Salvador also expressed her excitement upon the project.
“Ito kasing story namin, parang magra-run lang siya within four days. Noong nabasa ko iyong script, hindi ko talaga nabitawan kasi ang ganda noong flow ng story, noong pagkasulat. Nai-imagine ko talaga. Hindi rin kasi ako nakapag-college so excited akong gawin,” she told ABS CBN.
No other details about the movie have been revealed yet besides the title and trailer. (Samantha Flores)
