Members of K-pop boy band BEAST have officially established their own entertainment agency to manage their career.
The boys have set up Around US Entertainment after they decided not to renew their contract with Cube Entertainment in October. This marks another milestone for BEAST since debuting in the music industry in 2009.
In a statement released on December 16, Around US Entertainment said: “With a new year, comes a new start, and now Around US Entertainment is the home to Yang Yoseob, Yong Junhyung, Yoon Doojoon, Lee Kikwang, and Son Dongwoon, who are beginning the second chapter in their careers,” according to ENewsWorld.
“First, we would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have been constantly and patiently waiting for the artists in this confusing and insecure situation. BEAST was able to endure this process because of the fans. Because of the trust in each other, sharing the same heart and perseverance, we believe the last 7 years were very precious and the future will become even brighter,” the new agency said.
The agency thanked Hong Seung Song, CEO of Cube Entertainment, “for bringing and growing BEAST.”
“We know that BEAST was able to grow to become what they are now due to the hard work of many people. In the future, Around US Entertainment and Cube will maintain friendly relations,” it said.
Through the agency, Around US Entertainment said “we want to make sure that the artist can reach out to the public with more great music and content, things that many people can easily access and enjoy, with a motto of ‘always by our side.’”
“While BEAST is walking their path, there are still many things that they can do. We promise that we will do our best to create enjoyable times for the fans, and the artists. Please watch over us well in the future as the the company and BEAST create a new path together,” it added.
In April, Jang Hyun-seung left BEAST but continued to be an artist under Cube Entertainment.
