“Vince & Kath & James” hailed as the overall top-grosser of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.
The film entry starred by Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia, and Ronnie Alonte earned P105 million from December 25, 2016 to January 3, 2017.
Star Cinema on their Instagram announced the good news and expressed gratitude to the viewers, “Maraming, Maraming Salamat, Kapamilya.”
“Vince & Kath & james,” directed by Theodore Boborol, was based on the viral story “Vince and Kath” by Jenny Ruth Almocera.
The entry was also one of the films to win the “Children’s Choice” award during the Gabi ng Parangal on December 29.
“Die Beautiful,” which won lead star Paolo Ballesteros the Best Actor award, ranked second with P98 million. While Erik Matti’s “Seklusyon,” takes the third slot, garnering P82 million.
“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2” (P45 million), “Saving Sally” (P27 million), “Sunday Beauty Queen” (P7.8 million), “Kabisera” (P4.3 million) and “Oro” (P 4.2 million) respectively follows.
