Stars Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye were chosen as the top Korean actor and actress among drama fans in the US.
The two were picked in a survey by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) office in the US among 4,753 respondents composed of Asians (25.5 percent), Hispanics (25.1 percent), white (24 percent), and African-American (9 percent).
Lee Min Ho topped the list of most favorite actors with 542 votes followed by Lee Joon-ki, 518; Lee Jong-suk, 447; Song Joong-ki, 438; and Ji Chang-wook, 247.
Respondents chose Park Shin Hye as their favorite Korean actress with 1,284 votes followed by Gong Hyo-jin, 457; IU, 201; Song Hye-kyo, 192; and Hwang Jung-eum, 185.
Among Korean dramas, “Descendants Of The Sun,” which starred Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo topped the survey along with “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” “W,” “Cinderella And Four Knights,” and “Oh My Venus.”
Romantic comedies are the favorite Korean drama genre of the respondents, garnering 61.8 percent followed by melodrama (11.7 percent), historical drama (9.9 percent) and crime and action (9.2 percent).
