Former 2NE1 member Minzy has released her first single under her new agency Music Works.
Titled “I Wanted To Love,” the song is part of the soundtrack of the Korean drama “Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People.”
Snow Entertainment, a company which produces original soundtrack, recently uploaded the music video of the song on YouTube.
It is Minzy’s first release since leaving 2NE1 in April 2016.
The song is not part of Minzy’s official debut as a solo singer.
Minzy is now a regular cast member of the second season of the reality TV show “Sister’s Slam Dunk,” which began airing Feb. 10.
The 23-year-old singer was cast in the show along with new members Hong Jin-young, Kang Ye-won, Jeon So-mi and Han Chae-young, and Kim Sook and Hong Jin-kyung, who also appeared on the first season of the show.
Minzy has also announced the name of her own official fanclub “POS,” an adaptation of the Greek word which means “light.”
“It has a beautiful meaning of fans who light to Minzy, and people who listen to the music of light,” her announcement read.
Minzy continues work for her new album including recording a song with Jay Park.
She debuted as a member of 2NE1 in 2009.
YG Entertainment has since disbanded 2NE1.
