Her acting career started in 2003 on the top-rating afternoon drama series “Daisy Siete.” Since then, Rochelle has repeatedly gained nods for playing antagonist on several hit shows like “Darna” and “Amaya.”

In a recent interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Rochelle said she enjoys playing kontrabida.

“Marami nabubwisit sa akin,” she said, laughing.

The dancer-actress has been earning praises for her performance as Agane, the right-hand assassin of the Hathor king, Hagorn, on GMA’s telefantasya “Encantadia.”

Being part of the series is a dream come true for her.

“Iba kasi talaga kapag sinabing ‘Encantadia’ eh, iba ’yung feeling na kasama ako dito,” she shared.

Aside from the fact that she’s earning well through the show, Rochelle revealed “Encatandia” has helped her in so many ways.

It is as such that Rochelle gives her 100 percent to the show.

“Mahirap magpabaya,” she noted. “Sobrang init ng pagtanggap ng tao, so bakit di mo sila bibigyan ng todong effort ’di ba?”

Transition

Rochelle is doing another character on “Encantadia,” namely Andora, one of the Herans (dugong bughaw/nobles) of Etheria.

“Mas malalim si Andora, mas mahirap,” she said of the character.

Rochelle has gone through rough preparations in order to differentiate Andora from Agane.

Being that passionate, Rochelle admitted she experiences “separation anxiety” whenever she is done playing roles.

“Sumapi na kasi akin,” she said in jest.

Asked if she has a favorite character on “Encantadia,” the singer-actress shared: “Si Amihan talaga gusto ko.”

The character Amihan was portrayed by soon-to-be-mother Kylie Padilla. She has since left the show to focus on her pregnancy.

Rochelle said, smiling.

Enjoying the prep

Rochelle is also busy preparing for her upcoming wedding to long-time boyfriend Arthur Solinap. They were initially eyeing a December wedding but it got postponed due to their busy schedules.

“As of now, hindi pa namin alam kung anong date pero within this year,” Rochelle said.

The 34-year-old actress wants an intimate wedding of just about 250 guests.

“Actually pinag-uusapan pa. Gusto ko sana garden wedding kaso magastos,” she said.

Describing her ideal wedding, Rochelle said it’s “simple lang.”

According to Rochelle, the wedding might happened in Tagatay with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon as ninongs. Her former manager Joy Cancio is also said to be part of the entourage.

“For sure sa Tagaytay kasi favorite place ko ’yun eh, du’n ko lagi dinadala sila Tatay,” she maintained.

Some might feel stressed preparing a wedding but not Rochelle. She is, in fact, enjoying it.

“Ang sarap kaya,” she said.

Isang beses lang ’to eh.” (With report from Stephanie Marie Bernardino)
