Hallyu actor Lee Min Ho has started military service, reporting to the Gangnam District Office in Seoul.

The 29-year-old star of dramas such as “Boys Over Flowers,” “The Heirs” and “The Legend Of The Blue Sea” was assigned as public service worker.

Wearing a face mask, Lee Min Ho arrived at the district office before 9 a.m., shaking hands briefly with some fans waiting for him outside the building.
Within one year, Korea’s Military Manpower Administration (MMA), which administers the enlistment of Korean men, will call Lee Min Ho to undergo basic military training.

He was exempted from serving in active duty due to severe injuries he suffered in a car accident in 2006. He was 19 then.

Lee Min Ho will work at the same office where JYJ’s Yoochun works, according to a report. Yoochun will be discharged in August.

Korean cosmetics brand Innisfree released photos and video of Lee Min Ho on May 11. The endorsement was his last project before enlistment. The project was shot in Jeju Island.

Under the rules, Lee Min Ho will work at the office for eight hours a day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. including a one-hour lunch break and he has to complete 40 hours of service per week. He will serve for two years.
