Bea Binene is in no hurry to find love despite that it’s been three years after her breakup with Jake Vargas.
The 19-year-old GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) talent would rather focus on her career, maintaining love will come, well, when it does.
“Ako kasi, ayoko ’yung hinahanap ko siya (love),” she explained. “Ayoko ’yung parang ipinipilit.”
She is now working on the fantasy series “Mulawin Vs. Ravena” where she is paired with Derrick Monasterio.
Pinupuri nila ’yung acting, ’yung cinematography so masaya kami. Sana magtuloy-tuloy.”
Bea is glad the show allows her to fulfill her “action star” dreams.
She plays Anya on the show, a Tabon or “half-human, half-Mulawin.”
The actress also happily related that everything is going well with her team-up with Derrick, and that fans have been praising them on social media.
“Puro positive ’yung feedback so nakakatuwa,” she said.
On the possibility of them ending up as lovers, Bea said, “Pwede naman siguro pero hindi naman siya nanliligaw eh.”
Reminded of the fact that Derrick courted her years ago, she said, “Noon ’yun, eh ngayon?”
She shared an anecdote about Derrick calling her on the phone at four in the morning to ask her to have… “Breakfast sa tapsihan,” she said, laughing. “Siyempre ’di ako pumunta. Sabi ko lang (in exasperated tone), ‘Derrick!’”
In any case, she’d rather wait and let things develop further, noting, “Masaya naman kami ngayon, we’re enjoying each other’s company so okay na muna ’yun.”
Bea admitted, she and Derrick have gotten even more closer of late.
“Madalas kami lumalabas although kasama family namin,” she said.
We asked her if she has seen Jake of late and she said, “Hindi gaano eh, busy siya.”
But are they on good terms, we asked.
‘We’re civil, hi, hello, ganyan.”
Bea is aware that Jake is now in a relationship with Inah de Belen and she could only be happy for both.
Bea made noise of late when she posted a photo of herself in sexy attire.
Asked if this means she is now ready to pose for men’s magazines, she said, “Hindi siya part ng goal ko eh.”
With Father’s Day fast approaching, we asked Bea if she has heard from her estranged dad and she said, “Wala eh.”
Bea’s dad is said to have left the family home in 2011.
Asked if she has a message for him, she said, “I love you and just please do take care of yourself.” (With report from Jojo P. Panaligan)
