2013 Miss Universe 3rd runner-up turned “Wowowin” co-host Ariella Arida is open to the idea of accepting more acting projects.

She said in a recent interview, “Kung may opportunity (na dumating), why not ’di ba?”

This early, Ariella has undergone several acting workshops.

“Hindi lang ako ganun ka-vocal pero I really want to try it para ma-explore ko din ’yung iba pang aspect ng showbiz,” she added.

Ariella wants to be known more as a comedian, citing her recent stint on the afternoon comedy-anthology show “Dear Uge” as something she really enjoyed.

But the beauty is ready to consider whatever offer comes her way.

I will definitely grab the opportunity,” she maintained.

Given the chance, Ariella would like to work with Piolo Pascual.

Asked why, she pointed out, “Siyempre Papa P. po ’yan eh.”

She described him as being “very down to earth.”

“Actually dahil po sa attitude niya kaya mas hinangaan ko siya as an actor and as a person.”

Ariella is also willing to share her life story in a drama anthology series, like what Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach did recently.

“Kaya lang baka ma-bore ang mga tao,” she said in jest, describing her life “monotonous.”

Just ‘kuya’

Ariella has been with “Wowowin” for a year now and she is enjoying herself, noting how interacting with the show’s audience makes work exciting and fun.

Ariella believes main show host Willie Revillame likes her as co-host because of her bubbly personality.

“I think nagsimula lang ’yun nang napanood niya ako somewhere. Tapos si Kuya Willie, gusto niya talaga ’yung magulo and ’yung kakaiba ’yung personality,” she explained. “So nu’ng tinawagan ako (ng management ng ‘Wowowin’), um-oo agad ako kasi sayang ’yung opportunity ’di ba?”

She denies something romantic is going on between them, maintaining, “Kuya ko nga po siya eh.”

“At alam ni Kuya Willie na may boyfriend ako at sobrang nirerespeto niya po ’yun,” she added.

Still, Ariella admitted Willie has given her an expensive Louis Vuitton bag as gift.

“Pa-bonus niya po,” she noted.

On Miss Universe 2017

Organizers are eyeing the possibility of having the country host the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

Ariella is aware of this and she hopes it would push through, believing it advantageous to current Miss Philippines – Universe Rachel Peters.

She believes Rachel has what it takes to go all the way in the pageant.

“Perfect na siya body-wise, okay naman siya sa Q and A and magaling naman siyang rumampa,” she said. “Siguro ang kailangan talagang ma-feel niya is ’yung determination niya na gusto niya talaga makuha ’yung crown kumbaga double the effort na lang.”

Ariella has been tapped as endorser of CosmoSkin’s Grapeseed extract and Fibermaxx daily fiber supplement of Bargn Pharmaceuticals established in 2006 by Nino Bautista and John Redentor Gatus Jr. The products are available at Watson’s branches nationwide.

I guess it really help na nakikita nila ako palagi sa ‘Wowowin,’” she said. (With report from Jojo P. Panaligan)
