FT Island member Jong Hoon and former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae have parted ways, just one-and-a-half months after confirming they were a couple in June.
Joong Hon announced the breakup in a fan meeting in Japan on Aug. 1.
“I wanted to tell the fans first with my sincere heart. She felt much burden (from the relationship). It is natural to meet and separate in a relationship. I will become a more mature Choi Jong-hoon,” he said, according to the Korea Herald.
He added, “Thank you for trusting and supporting me. I don’t feel sad anymore and I am calm now.”
FNC Entertainment confirmed the two split two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, former After School member Uee and former M.I.B member Kangnam also parted ways just two weeks after their relationship was revealed.
RD Entertainment, Kangnam’s agency, confirmed the couple split due to their busy schedule.
“They have decided to remain as colleagues in the entertainment industry,” it said.
Uee and Kangnam were in a relationship for three months. They met after appearing in the Korean reality TV show “Law of the Jungle.”
Last January, Uee broke up with actor Lee Sang-yoon after a year of being in a relationship.
