New and established K-pop boy bands will battle it out for patronage upon release of their albums this month.
Among the K-pop groups making their comeback are GOT7, Highlight, BTOB and NU’EST W while new groups JBJ and Rainz debut.
GOT7 will release their seventh mini album “7 For 7” on Oct. 10 containing seven songs including the promotional song “You Are.” Teaser photos of the members and the album’s tracklist have been released. The group’s most recent album was “Flight Log: Arrival” that came out March.
On the same day, four-member NU’EST W, a sub-unit of NU’EST, will release the album “W.HERE” with the lead track “Where You At.” Four members of NU’EST gained renewed popularity when they became contestants on the survival TV show “Produce 101” Season 2 this year.
Highlight, composed of former members of K-pop group BEAST, will out their second mini album titled “Celebrate” on Oct. 16. The release coincides with their eighth anniversary since debuting as BEAST in 2009. As Highlight, they released their first album “Can You Feel It?” last March.
Seven-member BTOB will also release their second studio album “Brother Act” on Oct. 16. Last March the group put out the mini album “Feel ‘eM” containing five songs including “Movie.”
Two groups composed of contestants on “Produce 101” Season 2 will make their official debuts this month.
JBJ, composed of six members, will make their debut on Oct. 18 with the album “Fantasy.” The group is composed of Kwon Hyun-bin, Kim Yongguk, Takada Kenta, Roh Taehyun, Kim Sanggyun, and Kim Donghan.
Seven-member Rainz is also set to debut on Oct. 12 with the album “Sunshine.” It is composed of Seo Sung Hyuk, Hong Eun Ki, Byun Hyun Min, Kim Seong Ri, Lee Ki Won, Jang Dae Hyeon and Ju Won Tak.
