Remember the Ilonggo guy who slayed Air Supply songs on ‘Showtime?’ Well, Noven Belleza is ready to continue where he left off and finally start building his music career

A backstory about sacrifices and plaintive, soaring vocals were the killer combination that nabbed for Noven Belleza the championship on “Tawag Ng Tanghalan (TNT)” six months ago.

But Noven – a farmer from Negros Occidental – is more inspired now to prove his mettle.

At a recent press conference, Noven said he feels as if he is still in a competition, wherein the most deserving will be the last man standing.

The singer is still adjusting to showbiz life. He understands he can’t please everyone, and so he’s willing to accept criticisms being thrown at him.

Still, it’s never say die for Noven. As long as he has a voice, he will continue to sing and reach for his dreams.

Looking back on his journey in the competition, Noven said he didn’t expect to win at all and that being part of the Top 3 was already a blessing for him.

He considers that day as one magical moment that changed his life in so many ways.

Noven related his father already stopped working in the farm and his mother is no longer worried over money matters.

The singer now owns land in Negros. Their old house has been renovated and he is sending his siblings to school.

This early, Noven said the important lesson he has learned from being a celebrity is to love and appreciate fans.

Asked what his edge over the other “TNT” finalists, Noven said, “Sa tingin ko po ’yung puso at emosyon ko sa pagkanta.”
He recently launched his debut album with the promotional song “Tumahan Ka Na.”

Noven recently got embroiled in controversy but that is all behind him now. He believes it was just a test from God and one that taught him a lot of lessons.

New platform

At the same press conference, it was announced that 12 of the most talented “TNT” singers, including Noven, have been inducted as members of the Organisasyon Ng Mga Pilipinong Mang-Aawit (OPM).

OPM President Ogie Alcasid said that through their songs and live performances, the “TNT” singers will continue to inspire Filipinos to reach for their dreams.

One of the platforms they use to promote original Pilipino music is “TNT Versions” or “TNTV,” where fans and online viewers can enjoy the singers’ refreshing take on the most popular and iconic love songs.

Since June, the YouTube channel has already garnered thousands of subscribers and views. Some of the most viewed renditions are Eumee’s “Kahit Sandali” with 344,000 views, Jex’s “Someone’s Always Saying Goodbye” that hit 310,000 views, and Samuel’s “Sukob Na” with 260,000 views.

Ogie said, “Ito’y brainchild ko because I really wanted the singers to be part of OPM. I wanted them to experience what it is like to be an OPM member and at the same time, mailabas ang branding ng OPM sa mainstream.”
