K-pop boy band NU’EST W has made a resounding comeback with their new album topping music charts in South Korea a few days ago.
NU’EST W, a sub-unit of NU’EST composed of Baekho, JR, Aaron and Ren, released the album “W, Here” on Oct. 10 containing the six songs including the lead single “Where You At.”
“Where You At” peaked at No. 1 on music charts Melon, Naver Music, Bugs and Soribada.
On iTunes, the album reached No. 2 in the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brunei, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
“‘W, Here’ is the starting point of NU’EST as NU’EST W and it describes various situations that we are facing, and it delineates the moment of searching for where we are and where you are. It also describes many moments when we are faced with reality,” according to Ren during an online broadcast of the group on Naver V Live.
According to Baekho, “Through the title song, we wanted to express how we are in between dream and reality, searching for the one and wandering around without knowing the difference between dream and reality.”
Baekho, Ren, JR and Minhyun participated as contestants on the survival audition TV show “Produce 101” Season 2 this year.
Minhyun was declared one of the 11 winners last June and he is now a temporary member of boy band Wanna One, which will exist until December 2018.
NU’EST W was formed in July as a four-member group because of Minhyun’s absence and they released the single “If You” the same month.
