All is well among the main cast of ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye “La Luna Sangre.”
Thus, Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla has asked fans to stop bashing his and love team Kathryn Bernardo’s senior co-stars Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez.
“Kahit sinong dumating sa show namin, malaking tulong iyon sa amin. Very thankful kami. Very blessed kami na tinatanggap ng mga beteranong artista,” Daniel told the press.
Richard plays the role of Sandrino/Gilbert Imperial, while Angel appeared in the pilot episode and now plays the role of Jacintha Magsaysay. Daniel shared that all the cast members help each other in making the show a success.
“Tinutulungan kami, nagtutulungan kami. We accept them. Walang competition dito. At the end of the day, parepareho naman kami ng goal, pagandagin ang show. Mababait na tao ang mga iyon,” he said.
Some netizens accuse Richard and Angel, a former love team who was reunited in this show after many years, to have stolen the spotlight from KathNiel. Angel also previously responded to some netizens who criticized her participation on the show.
Daniel believes the real KathNiel fans know they are all fine working together.
“I think hindi sila KathNiel. I think mga naninira lang sila, nagpapanggap lang sila,” he said.
Amid the issue, Daniel and Kathryn are thrilled the audiences warmly accepted their show, which is far different from their previous projects.
“Sa mga fight scenes, mas dumadami na. Sana na-appreciate nila talaga kasi mahirap siyang gawin. Hindi madali. We’re glad gusto ng fans ang scenes,” he said.
Daniel added, “Wala talagang madaling action scene. Lahat pare-pareho ang sistema kung paano gagawin. Wala talagang shortcut. Pero wala pa naman akong sobrang delikado na scene.”
In the same interview, Kathryn said that even a short fight scene takes days to shoot, showing how challenging their new roles are.
“We shot that for two or three days just for that one gap. Worth it naman lahat.
