Danita Paner is finally out of her shell.
After going on hiatus for almost a year, the singer-actress promised to level up her career by doing things she’s never done before.
“Kailangan ko ng challenge this time so I guess mas mature roles,” she told Bulletin Entertainment. “Hindi na tayo pwedeng mag pa-tweetums.”
Is she willing to do sexy roles? Recall that Danita was a cover girl for a local men’s magazine back in 2013.
“Siyempre,” she said.
Danita was last seen on ABS-CBN’s “Magpahanggang Wakas” as Leila Asuncion who was the third wheel to Arci Muñoz and Jericho Rosales’ characters.
She was supposed to do two teleseryes more after that until “doubts” crept in. Danita revealed there came a point when she questioned if showbiz is meant for her.
This time, Danita said she thinks more clearly and she’s confident to conquer showbiz once more.
Danita has signed a five-year management contract with Viva Artists Agency which includes “everything” – films, teleseryes, shows, albums, concerts, etc.
She shared that during her appearances on past teleseryes, she was the only one handling her career. And now, she believes she needs a management team that will guide her.
Note that Danita’s “Promotor” album containing 10 tracks, which includes the songs “Lunod” “Kung Wala Na Nga” a cover of Prettier Than Pink’s song “Cool Ka Lang” and Rivermaya’s song “Himala,” was produced by Viva Records.
“Tagal na nu’n, 17 years old pa ako at mga rock music but I guess this time mas mature na ’yung mga music na gagawin ko,” she said.
Danita reiterated that for this new beginning, she promised herself that whatever opportunities will come her way, she will accept gratefully.
“Like if ever na bigyan ako ng sexy role or kontrabida. Kailangan 100 percent game ’yung heart ko, so this time I’m 100 percent sure,” she related.
But if she wants to have a fresh start, will she choose to change her screen name?
“Baka ma weirduhan ’yung mga tao,” she said, laughing.
