Bb. Pilipinas Universe Rachel Peters did not secure a Miss Universe win for the Philippines but she remains a source of pride for Filipinos.
Named one of the strong contenders by some beauty pageant “experts,” Peters failed to make it to the Top 5 of the 66th Miss Universe.
Despite that, Pinoy fans as well as local celebrities still showered Peters with congratulatory words , this for doing her best in representing the country in the prestigious pageant.
On Twitter, comedian Vice Ganda posted: “Madlang People lets all give Rachel Peters a big round of applause!”
“Congratulations Rachel we are still very proud!!! 8yrs in a row of making the cut,” Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean Lastimosa tweeted.
Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco thanked Peters for representing the country with beauty and heart.
“Rachel Peters already won our hearts! Mabuhay ka Rachel! Still our Miss Universe. Thank you for representing our country with beauty and a heart. We love you!”she said.
