For Andre Yllana, the separation of his parents, Jomari Yllana and Aiko Melendez, isn’t an issue. The mom has custody of the son but dad figures strongly in the latter’s life.
Jomari and Andre hang out like friends do, as evidenced by photos from their social media accounts. They are close to each other with Andre even “inheriting” Jomari’s precious 1998 AE111 Toyota Corolla as birthday gift a few weeks back.
In an interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Andre said “bata pa lang po ako pangarap ko na ’yun (car na ’yon).” He hopes to follow in his dad’s footsteps as car racer champion from some years ago.
Andre thanks his dad for giving him “not just a car but also something with sentimental value to it.” The two intend to practice car racing together in the weeks ahead.
The young Yllana is excited over the pregnancy of his dad’s non-showbiz girlfriend of two years.
Andre is sure that despite his father having a new family, their relationship will not be affected at all.
Though his last name gives him some kind of leverage in show business, Andre is out to prove his own worth.
He shares career advice Aiko always tells him.
Siguro nandu’n ’yung pabiro pero at the same time ’yung ’wag munang maaga (na magpamilya),” shared Andre.
Well, there’s nothing to worry about as Andre has no girlfriend yet.
Asked if he has his own share of bashers, the budding actor nodded.
Well, what do they say?
