Big Bang member Taeyang has been scheduled to enlist in the Korean military after fellow member G-Dragon.
It was announced that Taeyang will be starting his military service as an active duty soldier on March 12.
It was confirmed a few days before that that G-Dragon will be enlisting on Feb. 27. Taeyang will follow suit about two weeks later.
Taeyang, 30, married actress Min Hyo Rin last Feb. 3 at a church in Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province. The lavish reception and party followed at Paradise City Hotel and Resort in Incheon.
“I have pledged to spend the rest of my life with Min Hyo Rin, the one who has always stuck by me for the past four years. Through all the good times and the bad times, she has always believed in me and now I look forward to making a beautiful life together,” Taeyang wrote in a letter when he announced his marriage to Min Hyo Rin last December.
When the wedding date was announced, YG Entertainment said the two did not schedule a honeymoon because of Taeyang’s enlistment. The agency earlier said that G-Dragon and Taeyang were waiting for their draft notices.
T.O.P was the first Big Bang member to enlist, starting his military service in February last year. The other members of Big Bang are Daesung, 28, and Seungri, 27, who will also be drafted in the future.
All able-bodied Korean men are required to serve in the military as part of their mandatory duties as citizens.
