Ariana Grande sang her latest single ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ live at ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ while being accompanied with not-so usual musical instruments.
The 24-year old American pop singer performed alongside Jimmy Fallon and the hip-hop band The Roots.
The Nintendo Labo instruments used by Fallon and The Roots were made out of cardboard and Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Switch is originally a gaming console that can be played “both at home and on-the-go,” according to Nintendo. It can also be coded according to which instrument a person would like to play.
The performance earned a joyful reaction from netizens. Here are some of their remarks:
“This version using Labo’s instruments sounds amazing and so natural! Ariana’s voice is better than ever. Gotta congratulate Ariana, Fallon, and Nintendo for this truly great, futuristic and original work.”
“Just realized those instruments were cardboard. That was so cool!”
“Love Ariana Grande. She is so frickin’ beautiful and the best singer/actress I’ve ever seen in a long time. Every song she sings is a big hit! Ariana & Jimmy do a lot of fun skits together whenever she’s on his show. This cardboard instrument is so cool. Love the music video to No Tears Left to Cry…from Dave Meyers. ”
“ This is such a cool show of what Nintendo Labo instruments can do.”
“She’s very talented! Jimmy and The Roots are too, of course!”
