Liza Soberano was “overflowing with happiness and gratitude” after she was named “Box Office Queen” at the 49th Guillermo Mendoza Box Office Awards.
The Filipina actress received the award for her movie “My Ex and Whys” with on-screen partner Enrique Gil, who was, on the other hand, recognized as the “Box Office King”.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Soberano expressed gratitude to a number of people who were instrumental for her latest achievement.
The “Bagani” star also showed appreciation to her fans who “spent sleepless nights Tweeting, Instagramming and putting together block screenings”.
“With or without this recognition, we still feel like winners because of the unconditional love you showed us…To be honest, it’s really us (Enrique and I) who are inspired by all of you and the happiness we see on all of your faces,” she added.
Her message, of course, included a shout out to her love team, Gil.
“You bring out the best in me in ways nobody else can. I love you!!!” the young stunner stated.
“Last but not least to Lord God our Savior for lending us the talent to be able to use our platform to make all of you happy,” Soberano said, ending her thank you note.
Besides her win, Soberano’s look during the awards night was widely talked about in social media.
The young actress stunned many after she sported a new and shorter hairdo during the awards.
While she reportedly just wore a wig, a number of netizens expressed fascination over Soberano’s short hair look.
