Korean actor Kim Woo-bin celebrated his 29th birthday recently and netizens and fans have expressed their support for him.
Kim Woo-bin is currently on hiatus from his career due to nasopharyngeal cancer.
In May last year, Sidus HQ, his agency, announced that he star was diagnosed with the cancer at a hospital he visited after he felt abnormal symptoms in his body while carrying out several schedules. He immediately started getting medication and radiation therapy.
On the occasion of his birthday, Sidus HQ posted a message on Instagram which read, “We wait that one day you will return as if nothing had happened. Happy 29th birthday,” according to K-pop Herald.
Last December, he wrote a letter to fans after finishing his fifth chemotherapy, saying, “It will take some more time before I come back, but I promise you that I will get well and return as if nothing happened.”
Kim Woon Bin is known for starring in Korean TV dramas such as “The Heirs,” “A Gentleman’s Dignity” and “Uncontrollably Fond.” He also starred in the 2016 movie “Master,” which was shot in the Philippines.
Korean netizens expressed their support for the actor.
“Please come back healthy like nothing happened. I genuinely support you from the bottom of my heart. Happy birthday,” one commented.
Another one said, “You’ll get better no matter what” while another posted “Promise you’ll come back with a bright smile like nothing ever happened.”
“You’re doing well, right? Please don’t rush anything. Focus on getting your health back and keep a comfortable heart,” one netizen said.
Kim Woo-bin is in a relationship with actress Shin Min-a.
