A petition on was launched to urge Cube Entertainment, Pentagon and HyunA’s agency, not to remove E’Dawn from the boy band.

Some Korean fans have asked that E’Dawn should be removed from Pentagon, claiming he deceived them about his two-year relationship with HyunA.

E’Dawn and HyunA are in the project group Triple H along with Pentagon member Hui. They recently released the song “Retro Future,” which they promoted on TV until the dating issue came out.

After E’Dawn and HyunA admitted that they have been going out for two years, Cube Entertainment announced that E’Dawn would not be participating in Pentagon’s activities.

He did not attend the fan club event in Seoul on Aug. 11 and the KCON held in Los Angeles from Aug. 12. He will not be a part of Pentagon’s fan meeting and fan signing events in Japan this month.

“‘Fans’ are demanding that E’Dawn is removed from Pentagon. Let’s sign this petition to make sure he stays in Pentagon!! He doesn’t deserve all this hate and he shouldn’t be treated like this. If E’Dawn is happy with HyunA, then we should all be happy for them,” according to the online petition.

As of writing, more than 64,000 fans have signed the petition to keep E’Dawn in Pentagon.

“Why is this happening? Why can’t people love who they want to love? Why do people have to judge constantly?? Why can’t he be HAPPY?” one of the signatories commented on the petition page.

Another wrote, “We want E’dawn to participate in PENTAGON’s schedule, ’cause he is an important member in the group!”
