After Golden Cañedo made history Sunday by becoming the first-ever “The Clash” champion, the girl certainly has a bright future.

Aside from the four million worth of prizes including a brand new car, a house and lot, one million peso cash, and an exclusive management contract with GMA Network, she is cast in new musical variety program “Studio 7,” which will replace “The Clash” on its Sunday timeslot. Golden will be joined by her co-grand finalists Anthony Rosaldo, Mirriam Manalo, Garrett Bolden, Jong Madaliday, and Josh Adornado.

In an interview, Golden said she had made a “pinky promise” with runner-up Jong that whoever wins will give the other 50,000 pesos. Golden said she intends to keep her word.

Even before her grandest win, Golden had already promised to shoulder the cost of surgery of one of her cousins.
Golden said she is relocating to Manila along with her family currently based in Cebu.

Is she ready for acting? Saying she wants to try everything, Golden would like to work with Kyline Alcantara and Miguel Tanfelix.

“I want to showcase my talent and be known around the world,” she noted.

Golden revealed she is yet to take voice lesson. The teen singing idol said she works on her skills by watching tutorials and other’s performances online.

Some people compare Golden to Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, and the former is delighted about it. Her other “idols” in singing are Regine Velasquez and Morissette Amon.

The 16-year-old singer who currently studies as Grade 10 student in Naic, Cavite said she aspires to be a flight attendant though her win might have changed all that.
