After tying the knot with girlfriend of three years Kat Ramnani at the Luhur Chapel on Uluwatu Temple Cliff in Bali, Indonesia, fans of Christian Bautista wonder how his new status will affect his career.
An exclusive interview with his manager Carlo Orosa revealed that the newlyweds would delay their honeymoon in Africa to make way for work as 2018 ends.
Note that Christian is part of GMA drama-comedy series “Pamilya Roces” and the variety show “Studio 7.” Kat, on the other hand, is a director in a major provider of telecommunications services in the Philippines.
Carlo shared the singer-actor has corporate events in March and April 2019, as well as a Valentine’s show at Manila Hotel. There are also invitations from Indonesia to do concerts and for television engagements.
“Christian said now that he’s married, his decisions will always be in consultation with Kat. We at Stages believe that is the right thing to do because marriage is partnership, it’s a forever partnership. Each of their actions will affect the other and their future,” Carlo said.
He added the couple intend to have “many kids.”
We asked Carlo for insider’s details on the recent wedding and he gladly obliged.
He described the event as this “extravagant affair lasting three days.” It started with a welcome dinner at Tirtha Bridal, said to be “the most elegant and sort after wedding venue in Bali.” The wedding was kept intimate with just 85 people in attendance, including Globe executives Ernest Cu, Jo Caliro, Albert de Larrazabal; Cris Villonco and husband Paolo Valderrama; singers Erik Santos, Mark Bautista, Sam Concepcion; and Indonesian superstar Bunga Citra Lestari and husband soap star Ashraf Sinclair.
The pre-wedding party was Bollywood-themed as Kat is part Indian by descent. The following day at 5 p.m. the wedding was held at the Luhur Chapel on Uluwatu Temple Cliff in Bali, Indonesia. Carlo said the scenery was perfect as it was overlooking an infinity pool and the Indian Ocean.
At the glass house reception, which is 10-minute away from the chapel, the attendees had a four-course fine dining meal.
“All of their dreams, wishes, and fantasy for their wedding happened,” Carlo said. “It’s nice as every step of the way was so meaningful to them, all so personal.”
Why Bali? Well, Carlo said it is one of the first places the couple visited during early days of their dating phase.
“They fell in love with the place so they decided that one day they would do their wedding there and they did,” he said.
He added the wedding cake was special. The donuts-shaped cake was made by Christian Mark Jacobs of Naked Patisserie. Apparently, it is Kat’s comfort food.
There were more surprises.
“No one knew Kat was practicing to sing and play ukulele with Christian’s brother for the past four months just to offer it to her groom on the day of their wedding,” he shared. “In fact, there were times that Kat won’t be able to go home immediately and she gave excuses just to surprise Christian.”
In return, the singer-actor sang to Kat her favorite boy band songs.
Carlo shared Kat also had different stations at the wedding venue. They had a henna and cigar stall, as well as a tent where guests could find souvenir items in Bali.
“She really thought of everything and her motto is giving the best service to the customer, which is her work’s tagline. The customer satisfaction is so important to her and she applied it to the wedding,” Carlo said. “So it was very heart-felt and heat warming entire event.”
As for the wedding receptions in Manila, Carlo said these will be held Dec. 2 at Manila Hotel, which will be attended by their close friends and family who were unable to join them in Bali; then another reception in Cavite for his family there, also before the year ends.
