K-pop boy band NU’EST W released their last album to mark the end of the promotional unit of NU’EST.
NU’EST W was formed last year when member Hwang Min-hyun won in “Produce 101” Season 2 and became a member of temporary boy band Wanna One whose original contract will end in December.
The unit, composed of JR, Baekho, Ren and Aron, released their first album “W, Here” in October last year and bagged their first TV music show trophy the same month.
“Wake, N,” the new and final album of NU’EST W, was released on Nov. 26.
“Our main focus in this album was to deliver the lyrics well. The album includes group songs that express waking up from sleep, and solo tracks talking about feelings coming alive,” said JR, according to K-pop Herald.
The album is composed of seven tracks with “Help Me” as the carrier song.
Hwang Min-hyun is expected to return from Wanna One and join his teammates in NU’EST but JR declined to say anything.
“About the future plans of NU’EST, I can’t say anything, as we haven’t discussed or confirmed anything yet. We focused solely on ‘Wake, N’ until now.” he explained.
Ren described NU’EST fans, Loves, as “the light that shines our path.”
“We could sing because Love sent us support. Our wish is for the album to deliver our love to fans who have always given love to us,” added JR.
Besides the album, NU’EST W will have concerts in Seoul on Dec. 15 and 16.
