Catriona Gray, the Philippine representative to this year’s Miss Universe pageant, is fast emerging among early favorites to win the crown mere days from the Grand Coronation Night to be held Dec. 17, in Bangkok, Thailand.
A report on a popular UK online site, in fact, has tagged her the “next Jennifer Hawkins,” the 2004 Miss Universe who became a judge on “Australia’s Next Top Model.”
In an article published on Nov. 27 in the Daily Mail, writer Alice Murphy described the Filipina beauty queen a “stunning Australian-Filipino singer, model and TV host tipped to take out the 2018 Miss Universe crown.”
“Boasting 570,000 Instagram followers, Ms Gray is the hot ticket to cinch the crown next month with Sports Bet Australia announcing her as the $4.00 favourite,” she added.
Murphy stressed Gray’s biggest rival for the crown would be Miss South Africa, Ecuador and Thailand.
