K-pop boy band iKON will release a repackaged album early January.
According to YG Entertainment, the idol group’s “New Kids” repackaged album will be out on Jan. 7, a day after iKON hold their encore concert in Seoul on Jan. 6.
The carrier song of that album is “I’m OK,” composed by B.I. and Future Bounce, and written by B.I, Bobby and Kim Jong-won.
The “New Kids” album series began in May 2017 when they released “New Kids: Begin” followed by “New Kids: Continue” in August this year and “New Kids: Final” last October. Before this, the boy band issued “Return” in January 2018.
“Return” contained the hit single “Love Scenario,” which became No. 1 on Korean music charts for 43 days. It won Song of the Year at the 2018 Melon Music Awards and was certified platinum by the Gaon music chart for reaching 100 million streams.
According to the YG blog, the Seoul concert, to be held at KSPO Dome, is the culmination of iKON’s world tour which began in August. The group held their 2018 Continue Tour in Manila on Nov. 11. It added that the world tour drew an estimated 180,000 fans.
