Released on Nov. 23, 2018, the charity song has never been played on any Philippine radio show even after Gray was crowned 2018 Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand last Dec. 17.

On Jan. 12, the song was finally played on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, a broadcasting company based in Midtown Manhattan in New York City.

“How I felt when @siriusxm @swaysuniverse @realsway played my single #WereInThisTogether @youngfocusph for the first time on the radio. Fam, if you haven’t heard the single yet it’s on Spotify and iTunes and the music video link is in my BIO,” said Gray on Instagram on Jan. 12.

The fourth Miss Universe from the Philippines has a Master’s Certificate is Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

Written and composed by Marcus Davis and produced by Young Focus International, the advocacy song aims to help the children and communities who live in abject poverty in Tondo, Manila area.
