For the first time, the debut single of Miss Universe Catriona Gray “We’re In This Together” was played on US radio since it was released in Manila two months ago.
Released on Nov. 23, 2018, the charity song has never been played on any Philippine radio show even after Gray was crowned 2018 Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand last Dec. 17.
On Jan. 12, the song was finally played on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, a broadcasting company based in Midtown Manhattan in New York City.
“We’re In This Together” was played when the Filipino-Australian beauty queen dropped by the radio station for an interview as part of her current media tour in US which kicked off in New York City last Jan. 7.
“How I felt when @siriusxm @swaysuniverse @realsway played my single #WereInThisTogether @youngfocusph for the first time on the radio. Fam, if you haven’t heard the single yet it’s on Spotify and iTunes and the music video link is in my BIO,” said Gray on Instagram on Jan. 12.
The fourth Miss Universe from the Philippines has a Master’s Certificate is Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
Written and composed by Marcus Davis and produced by Young Focus International, the advocacy song aims to help the children and communities who live in abject poverty in Tondo, Manila area.
Young Focus International is a non-profit organization that works in supporting the education, nutrition, and social welfare of the kids from the community that are in their program.
