So Ji-sub to say ‘Hello’ to Pinoy fans in March



Award-winning Korean star So Ji-sub will meet with his fans in the Philippines.

The actor, known for the dramas “What Happened in Bali,” “I’m Sorry, I Love You” and “Master’s Sun,” will hold his So Ji-sub Asia Tour “Hello, Manila” on March 16 at the New Frontier Theater (formerly Kia Theatre) in Cubao, Quezon City.

Manila will be the last stop of the tour, which will start in Taipei on Feb. 10 followed by China on Feb. 20 and 21, Bangkok on March 2, Jakarta on March 9 and Hong Kong on March 10.

At the fan meeting, So Ji-sub will have a quiz show about himself and a music session.

So Ji-sub is known for his role in the 2004 hit drama “What Happened in Bali” (aired in the Philippines as “Memories of Bali” in 2005) for which he won most popular actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

The same year, he headlined the popular drama “I’m Sorry, I Love You.” For his role, he won the excellence award for acting at the KBS Drama Awards and best actor at the 41st Baeksang Arts Awards.

He won many awards for his role in the 2008 movie “Rough Cut” including best actor at the 28th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards and best new actor at the 29th Blue Dragon Film Awards, 45th Baeksang Arts Awards, 10th Busan Film Critics Awards and 18th Buil Film Awards. He also won the Rising Star Asia Award at the 8th New York Asian Film Festival.

Last year, he starred in the drama “My Secret Terrius” for which he bagged the daesang, or grand prize, at the 2018 MBC Drama Awards.

“Hello, Manila” is presented by 51K, Live Nation Korea and PULP Live World.
