The Philippine premiere is on Feb. 15, 7 p.m. at Leandro Locsin Theater of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in Intramuros, Manila.

The film is a dark tale of a mother’s love to his son.

SIFFMP runs till Feb. 22 exclusively at NCCA.

Highway 54 gets into the groove with renditions of ‘50s to ‘70s upbeat music and popular hits by the Bee Gees, and Donna Summer songs on Feb. 23 at 9:45 p.m.

Ice Bucket reggaes out the hits on Feb. 14, 16, 21 and 28.


Held only every two years, “Bakery Fair” will be a fitting post-Valentine event at the World Trade Center this year in Pasay City from Feb. 15 to 17, with one of its many highlights being the Cakes Competition boasting of 63 talented bakers as participants.

“Bakery Fair 2019” will be ushered in by the ceremonial cutting of giant 7-feet high special cake celebrating the theme this year – Chinese New Year in the Year of the Pig. The organizer of the event is the Filipino Chinese Bakery Association, Inc. (FCBAI). The cake was created meticulously by award-winning cake designer James Anton Uy of Cubcakes Bakery.


Philippines Corp. is one the supporters if this year’s Philippine Empowered Men and Women of the Year. As seen in the photo, the contract signing was attended by (from left) Jack Jakosalem ( CEO Augustus Perfume Inc.), Richard Hinola (Publisher) and Richard Martin (Marketing Officer). The scents line was inspired by luxury brands at affordable prices.
