Upcoming solo artist Kang Daniel and BTS member Jimin topped a survey of Korean male stars that people want to gift with chocolates on Valentine’s Day.
Korean math education company Seven Edu conducted a survey from Jan. 21 to Feb. 11 among 10,670 people and asked them to pick Korean male celebrities that they wanted to give chocolates on the special day.
Kang Daniel, former member of Wanna One, was voted No. 1, garnering 5,484 votes or 51.4 percent. He is preparing for his solo debut slated in April.
In second place is Jimin with 4,285 votes or 40.2 percent followed by BTOB’s Sungjae with 582 (5.5 percent), actor Park Bogum with 166 (1.6 percent) and actor Jung Hae-in with 102 votes (1 percent).
In South Korea, Valentine’s Day is celebrated with women giving gifts to men. In return, men give gifts to women on White Day on March 14.
Meanwhile, singles who fail to receive gifts on the two days observe Black Day on April 14 where they eat jajangmyeon, or noodles with black bean sauce.
