“Ako daw ’yung nagpapapainit ng ulo niya at nagpapataba ng puso niya at the same time.”
This is what actor Kiko Estrada said when asked what he thinks is his effect on girlfriend, actress Devon Seron.
Their relationship is as real as it gets, even off camera. “And I wouldn’t it have any other way,” Kiko added in an interview. “I mean, I would rather have it the real way because you know it’s genuine. I’m good with that.”
Asked who is the jealous type between them, Kiko raised his hand.
“What’s mine is mine,” was how he put it.
Although they are so in love, Valentine’s Day went by like an ordinary day for the two. That’s because Kiko was busy promoting his episode on a popular ABS-CBN show. Devon did manage to spring a surprise dinner date with him; just “simple” night out, he said.
“But then it’s the simple things that make my heart full of love and joy, happiness and peace,” he said. “I’m just a simple guy, you know.”
Asked why he is so open about their romance unlike some of their colleagues who try to keep theirs under wraps as much as they can, Kiko said, “I guess Devon caught me at a time when I was like ready to mature and ready to be serious.”
He added: “Come to think of it, I’m really that serious about my craft now, about my job, about my life. I just want to be the best and I’m gonna work hard to get myself there. I mean that’s not an easy thing to do so I have to stay focused.”
Kiko is just grateful for having Devon as his girlfriend. She even joined him at the Gala Screening of his film “Promdi” last Feb. 17 at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Theater in Intramuros, Manila.
“Promdi” and “Man In My Dreams” (a short film starring Kiko and Devon) are both written and directed by Charlotte Dianco, which part of this year’s Singkuwento International Film Festival Manila Philippines.
Kiko will soon be seen on the ABS-CBN show “Project Kapalaran” starring Sylvia Sanchez, JM de Guzman, and Arci Muñoz.
