Filipino R&B and Gospel singer Ray-An Fuentes, who has been based with his family in Canada for 21 years now, is in town, particularly to perform and give a testimony tonight at “3:16 The Promise.”
Headlined by Kuh Ledesma at Mall of Asia Arena, the objective of the concert is to draw people closer to God with a repertoire consisting of pop and inspirational songs.
Though many people remember Ray-An for his classic OPM duet “Umagang Kay Ganda” done with Tillie Moreno in the ’70s, he released several gospel albums even before Gary Valenciano released “Take Me Out Of The Dark.”
In an interview. Ray-An said he still sings occasionally but his heart really belongs to evangelization and giving inspirational talks around the world.
All proceeds of the concert will go to the Holy Bible Giver Foundation Inc., a non-government NGO that aims to provide Bibles especially in depressed areas in the Philippines and public schools. It also organizes healing conferences in many cities of the country.
“3:16 The Promise” is free for students and teachers.
