My award has the citation engraved in glass. Your inspiring life, successful career, and will to serve other people and the society are big factors to be chosen. I thank the founder of the award – giving body, Richard Hiñola.

Other notable awardees:
General Ronald dela Rosa – I think this former PNP Chief deserves it and I believe in him.

Dante Salamat – The Chief Executive Officer of PR Diamond Realty used to be a janitor before becoming a successful real estate broker.

Cristina Gonzales Romualdez – Daughter of Sampaguita pictures actor Jose Mari Gonzales, Kring-Kring is a staunch environmental advocate.

Wacky Kiray – He was hailed the “greatest entertainer” of 2017 on ABS-CBN.

Mrs. Universe Philippines 2019 Patricia Javier and husband Dr. Robert Walcher

Patricia Javier—Walcher – Currently Mrs. Universe Philippines and wife to reknowned chiropractor Dr. Rob Walcher (who is also an awardee), both go around barangays in the Philippines to promote wellness and bone health to prolong life and avoid lifestyle diseases.

Joel Lamangan – The works of this Filipino director and actor include “Himala,” “The Flor Contemplacion Story,” “Sidhi,” “Deathrow,” “Hubog,” etc.

I worked with Joel in the “Manay Po!” series. I remember being late on set because I took an exam so I got scolded by him. I cried but I deserved it. Since then, I’ve never been late to my other call times so I have him to thank for my professionalism.

R.S. Francisco – From a University of the Philippines student and theater actor, he became a “saleslady” to make ends meet before he became an assistant director. He joined and became successful in a multi-level marketing business.

Proceeds from the Empowered Men and Women awards went to six beneficiaries suffering from liver, kidney and cancer ailments.
