Bayani Agbayani has been thinking a lot about one thing lately: Overthinking.
“I know now that I shouldn’t devote the whole time planning my life,” he said in Filipino. “It is He, the Lord, who will design everything.”
Bayani credited the music game show “I Can See Your Voice” as impetus of the mindset. Through the show, he was able to stage a comeback successfully, winning new fans along the way. Of course, he did not plan all of it — it just happened.
“If it’s God’s will, it will happen. Trust God and wait on God to work on your life.”
Continue doing good, he encouraged, so that “everything will fall in all the right places.”
We asked Bayani how it feels to be doing movies again after a long hiatus.
“Surprised,” he said. “I never imagined I’ll be leading a film at this age.”
All his life, the 50-year-old actor had prayed to have a project that would leave a mark on people’s heart. “Pansamantagal,” he said, could be it.
The film is about two completely different people who unexpectedly meet in one place. His co-star is Gelli de Belen and DJ Chacha.
What is the lesson, we asked.
“Enjoy life as much as you can because you can never turn back time,” he said.
His most daring role, Bayani believes it’s high time to “shock” viewers into realizing there’s more to every actor than one thinks.
“Pansamantagal” is in cinemas nationwide.
