For 15 years now, the ’60s-inspired band, The Bloomfields, is known for high energy, old school rock and roll like the the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Rolling Stones (pero di sila tumatanda ha! mga papable parin!).

The group composed of Rocky Collado (vocals, drums, percussions), Lakan Hila (vocals, keyboards, lead guitar), Louie Poco (vocals, bass, guitar, and Dino Pascual (vocals, rhythm, guitar) made a mark in reviving OPM hits “Ale” and “Babaero.” (Pwede ba ako ’yung ale?)

“Passion lang talaga. Kapag gusto mo talaga ’yung ginagawa mo, tuloy–tuloy lang. Kahit ano pa klima sa band scene, up or down, tuloy lang,” Dino said. (Passionate din ako, mga bro! Tara!)

Last year, The Bloomfields came up with the album “A Drop Into The Blue” with 12 original tracks. (Sana we can spend time din together, mga bro)

“We thought we are like a drop of water… in the ocean… we used to be separated from the ocean, but we want to be part of it now,” Rocky explained. (Ako ang sirena n’yo sa ocean!)

Dino added: “This is our passion project. Para itong coming out project (laughs)! We want to put our stamp on the OPM scene.” (Pengeng tatak n’yo, mga bro!)

They recently released their new single, “TuTut.” (Paano mag tutut, mga bro? Paturo!)

“The song is about love. They have to listen to this and the other tracks. This is the first time that we had full creative control of our songs. Everything is self – produced that allowed us to showcase our distinct sound,” Lakan explained. (Payag ako kahit ikontrol n’yo ko, mga bro!)

The Bloomfields has also launched a crowdfunding campaign online called The Spark Project to support the release of their album on June 2019. Fans and supporters can avail limited edition memorabilias and contribute to the creative execution of the album launch. (Feeling ko may spark tayo!)

“The money that will be raised will be for the mixing and mastering of new tracks, producing music videos, and creating new content. This is interactive. We will involve the fans and supporters,” Louie said. (Gusto ko ma-involve sa inyo, mga bro!)
