Grammy award winner Adele and husband Simon Konecki have called it quits, the English singer’s representatives confirmed.
Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh, Adele’s representatives, confirmed the split to the Associated Press (AP) in a statement Friday.
“Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment,” the emailed statement said.
AP has tried to reach Konecki’s representative for his statement but to no avail.
The two started dating in 2011 and Adele confirmed her marriage at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards in 2017, when she won album of the year for “25.”
They have a six-year-old son, Angelo. (with a report from the Associated Press)
