The two stars collaborated for “Mr. Nice Guy,” a track written by Melanie Joy Fontana and produced by Lindgren, the tandem behind K-pop superstars BTS’ new hit “Boy With Luv.”

Wengie told Bulletin Entertainment that working with Pascual “was an incredibly smooth experience.”

“He is so talented, easy going, and a ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ himself so the song was perfect for him,” she said.

It was Wengie’s music manager Danny Lee who recommended to get Pascual into the music project.

“I was looking for a male artist for the song and I knew he had to be able to sing and dance for the vision to come alive. My music manager Danny Lee suggested Inigo – I had a look at his portfolio and said yes right away!” Wengie said.

Wengie is a popular YouTuber with 13.55 million subscribers and 1.4 billion views since 2010 while her Instagram account has 1.7 followers.

She describes the upcoming track as “a song about a girl finding her Mr. Nice Guy and not having to worry about being hurt and feeling safe.”

“In an culture where bad boys get a lot of attention this song is refreshing and I love the K-Pop format with melodic choruses and cool rap lines. It’s written and produced by Melanie Fontana and Lindgren – they have set records with their work with BTS and Halsey and I feel so lucky to have them on this track,” she said.

Wengie says her music is “a fusion between eastern pop styles and western pop styles.”

“Basically my own identity as a person since I’m Chinese-Australian with an Asian heritage growing up in the west. I learned to appreciate both C-Pop, J-Pop and K-Pop growing up as well as American and UK pop! I wanted to create something that was really me!” she added.

She says she is still learning and growing as an artist to find out what she loves the most and her strengths
“I am so excited for this journey to continue! I know I love being on stage and making people happy!” she said.

Among her music role models are HyunA, BLACKPINK, TWICE, Itzy and Ariana Grande.

“I love Hyuna, her confidence is really inspiring and she wasn’t afraid to do something different in the industry! She also seems really down to earth and goofy despite her normally sexy image – it’s so endearing,” she said. “I’m always loving what K-Pop is doing, some of my favorites are BLACKPINK, TWICE and Itzy. it’s admirable how hard they work and their music is sooo catchy! And, of course, Ariana Grande’s music has really grown so much over the years and her songs now are just next level.”

Wengie says she wants to work with DJ Marshmello and Bruno Mars in the future.

“I would love to collaborate with Marshmello! We already played ‘Street Fighter’ together for his gaming series! In the upcoming year I really want to collaborate with artists all over the world understand more cultures and their music. A dream collab would be with Bruno Mars!” she said.
