Leave it to Celine Dion to take a song like “Baby Shark” and put a dramatic twist to it.
Finally gracing James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting for fans, Celine entered the infamous SUV with sustained the energy until the magical moment at the end.
At the start of the video, Celine kept singing random songs that she used as a reply to anything that Corden was saying.
It even got to a point where Dion sang Work, Work by 5th Harmony, after Corden indicated that he needed a bathroom break.
Their spontaneity and rapport kept this episode of Carpool Karaoke one of the most entertaining yet, highlighted of course by Corden and Dion doing duets of the artist’s hits.
Celine’s dramatic version of “Baby Shark” came from a dare by Corden who said that the former could take any song and make it dramatic.
Without disappointing, Dion naturally took on the dare, to Corden’s and undoubtedly to all the viewer’s delight.
Watching the 14-minute video which has already been viewed more than 440,000 times just four hours after it was uploaded on YouTube, one almost expects that this video needs to end with a bang.
Indeed it does, as James and Celine reenacted an iconic scene from Titanic — the one where Leonardo DiCaprio spreads Kate Winslet’s arms out from behind while they at the bow of the boat – as they sang “My Heart Will Go on.”
