“We have yet to take a top prize (at major year-end music awards). We will definitely go get it,” said leader JB, according to Yonhap News.

GOT7 debuted in January 2014 and throughout their career, they have won many awards including three disc bonsang at the Golden Disc Awards and two bonsang at the Seoul Music Awards.

“Spinning Top: Between Security & Insecurity” features six songs including the carrier track “Eclipse,” which has accumulated 5.4 million views on YouTube in 18 hours since it was released on May 20.

JB said since their debut, “I feel that there is nothing (that we have achieved) quickly and easily. We took a long time to pave our way step by step and brick by brick in a steady manner.”

He came up with the album title and explained that “I thought that my life seems like a top, going back and forth between insecurity and security. But the album also carries a message that (I) will keep going forward despite the insecurity and go beyond it to write a new chapter (in my life).”

According to Mark, “Personally, as an idol (singer), we sometimes feel a sense of insecurity. We have been scheduled to launch a world arena tour. … We are (happy) at this good news, but, at the same time, feeling a sense of anxiety because we wonder how long people will (love us).”

Another goal that GOT7 wants to achieve is to popularize their group name.

“Honestly, we have come up with a solid album and concerts. I have no doubt on that. But I think we need to roll our sleeves up and be more active in putting ourselves out to the public,” said Yugyeom.

Following the release of the album, GOT7 will be embarking on their “Keep Spinning” world tour that will kick off on June 15 and 16 in Seoul.

“Personally I think the world tour will have a very high level of quality. We are currently in the course of training and that includes a lot of good songs,” said Jinyoung.

The GOT7 concert tour will be held in Manila on Oct. 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
