Sarah Geronimo’s most recent Best Actress award raises her celebrity status to an entirely different level

Sarah Geronimo is not just multi-awarded music artist but best actress winner twice over.

Over the weekend, Sarah was named PMPC 2019’s Movie Actress of the Year for her performance in Viva Films’ “Miss Granny,” about an elderly woman who finds a second chance at youth after a visit to a mysterious photo studio. Sarah tied with Kathryn Bernardo in the category.

The last time Sarah won best actress was at Golden Screen TV Awards in 2014 for her performance in “It Takes A Man And A Woman.”

In the coming months, she revealed another film and a tour are on the way. Sarah will also return as one of the coaches on “The Voice Kids.”

Sarah recently took on the world of cosmetics. The singer-actress has joined the likes of Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda by rolling out her own makeup line, Pop Studio.

These are “affordable, top-quality products” for “multi-hyphenated” women.

“This is specially dedicated to the women out there and to the women at heart who have busy lives and (are) always on the go,” Sarah said at the product launch.

Following the tagline “Your Beauty Best Friend,” the collection features “two-of-a-kind” products such as blush with contour, day and night eyeshadow palette, brow pencil with mascara, foundation stick with liquid concealer, and matte lipstick with lip balm. The products are available in three shades for light, medium, and dark skin tones.

“We always want to look our best whenever we go out especially if we will spend some times with our loved ones. We want to look maganda and gwapo,” she said.

Sarah worked with industry experts in developing the product.

“I’m very hands-on with the conceptualization,” she said, revealing she chose to design the packaging with musical note as a representation of who she is an artist.

At the same event, Sarah was named new ambassador of e-commerce platform, Shopee.

She launched a new commercial with a jingle titled “Shopee Spaghetti” (sung to the tune of Sexbomb Girls’ “The Spaghetti Song”). It was launched in time for Shopee’s 6.6 — 7.7 Lowest Price Sale, through June 8.
