Alex Gonzaga is one of the funniest persons in show business. But is she like some people who need time before turning bubbly after getting long ZZZZs?
Under five minutes recently right after she hosted the Quaker Oats Breakfast Show, we quizzed the singer, actress, host and YouTube star about her morning habits:
Who is the first person you think of or look for upon waking up?
Do you eat breakfast within 15 minutes after jumping out of bed?
“No, that’s the last thing I do. I have to take a bath first or else I’d fall right back to sleep. I eat right before I go, or usually in the car. And it has to be ready-to-go food, like bread. I think I only have a proper sit-down breakfast when I’m on vacation, and then I eat champorado or oatmeal.”
Is Alex Gonzaga grouchy in the morning? Do you have any ritual at night to ensure you wake up in a good mood?
“Wala naman. Normally para makatulog ako ay nag-pa-massage ako. My regular sleep time is at 3 a.m.”
Do you have a pet you can sleep with or cuddle in bed?
“I have a dog but he’s outside. Ayaw kasi ni Mommy na nasa loob sila dahil carpeted kami and I once had a dog na sinira yung carpet. Dati, pinapaliguan pa siya bago pumasok so pinili ko na lang na our dog now ay nasa labas in a cage at night then free to roam the whole day.”
What kind of content do you consume as soon as your eyes open?
“Social media, kung sino mga nag text or tumawag, Instagram. Then I make sure pagsakay ko ng car patugtog muna ako ng motivational audio. My sister, Toni (Gonzaga), sends me motivational videos in the morning and those help me to stay positive and be in the right state of mind.”
Do you plan the content of your YouTube channel morning or night? When is the best time for you?
“Walang pinaplano na kahit ano, everything just comes naturally. Whenever an idea come sot me, I call up my camera man and editor or sometimes I just shoot myself. Ayoko ng masyadong planned kasi nawawaley the more na planado ang mga bagay-bagay. Comedy is all about timing so you have to do it right away, react as it happens.”
