Winners of special awards were: Brazil, best advocacy; India, photogenic; Namibia, fashion of the world; Czech Republic, best in beach wear; Bulgaria, best in swimwear; Korea, formal wear; Spain, best in national costume; Nepal, media’s choice.
Georgiev also won two corporate awards from pageant sponsors David Salon and Psalmstre, awarded by Jaime V. Acosta, the firm’s CEO and president.
Since he arrived in Manila, the Bulgarian already captured the hearts of local pageant fans who even called him Captain America.
Georgiev has walked the runways of fashion capitals around the world for popular brands.
In 2012, Georgiev competed in Manhunt International pageant but did not place.
A source said that win or lose, Georgiev was expected to leave the country later this month.
But he will return to Manila to fulfill his responsibilities as Man of the World winner.
“He wants to pursue modeling in the Philippines,” the source said.
The local-based international pageant was produced by Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPS) Foundation Inc. led by its President Carlo Morris Galang. It is also the same group that produces Misters of Filipinas contest.
