Beloved Daughter recently asked Her Elders (HE) if Patient Partner (PP) could finally propose to her. After all, they’ve been in a relationship for quite some time now, and they’ve gone through a lot together.
In response, HE asked BD if she is really ready to settle down. BD said that even if PP proposes, they will only have the wedding after they have finished all their commitments.
While BD thought HE would have a change of heart, HE set this condition: Before PP proposes, all properties and bank accounts of BD must be transferred to HE. Apparently, HE was afraid everything BD owned would become conjugal property once BD gets married.
You see, HE doubts if PP could give the life BD deserves. His own career, after all, has not been as lucrative as BD.
And while they could always have a prenuptial agreement, HE does not want anything that would give the press and the public something to feast on. So transferring BD’s asset to them is the better solution?
What HE was thinking of was the eventuality the couple would breakup after marriage, and PP would end up getting more than he deserves. Hence, HE has another hidden agenda behind the non-prenup. The simple aim is to ensure that whatever PP has, BD will get a slice as well. PP, of course, gets not as much as all BD’s assets would have been with HE by then.

Overconfidence must have eaten its way into the heart of Female Celebrity (FC). All the while, she thought the announcement would be in her favor, but weeks passed and no callback happened. Then, one morning, the revelation was done and over, and FC was not even considered.
Sometime ago, FC was being asked about her feelings if she would be given a chance to play a major role in a forthcoming movie. At the time and even until the last minute, talks were loud that FC has fighting chance to get it if she auditions.
Although everything is water under the bridge now, FC she neither replied nor even congratulated CO when the media asked the former about the latter. These days, when FC is interviewed, there are instructions that she not be asked about it.
“Learning lessons is a little like reaching maturity. You’re not suddenly more happy, wealthy, or powerful, but you understand the world around you better, and you’re at peace with yourself. Learning life’s lessons is not about making your life perfect, but about seeing life as it was meant to be.” – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
