Kapuso actors and singers Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo accepted a challenge from a YouTube subscriber who dared them to perform publicly but in disguise.
The real-life couple treated commuters at LRT-1 Roosevelt station with a free concert recently.
The 32-year-old actress shared the video on her YouTube account, as an episode of “Jen Survives,” where her followers suggest things to do for the next videos.
Username Jhennie 09 suggested the idea to Jen.
Tignan natin Kung may mga taong fair when it comes to music kahit di kayo kilala eh makikinig sa inyo kasi magaganda nga voice niyo!!! I challenge you and Dennis… Hehehehe! God Bless and more power to you(r) vlogging career!!! (face throwing a kiss emoji ).”
Jennylyn and Dennis serenaded commuters with OPM favorites as Aegis’ “Sinta,” Renz Verano’s “Remember Me,” and the Kapuso actress’ very own “Kahit Sandali.”
They also did a duet of Donna Cruz’s “Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso,” then revealed their identity to cap the performance with a cover version of Peter Cetera’s “After All.”
On video, the spectators can be seen giving some donations and tips, while others were recording the performance.
On the description box of the vlog post, Jennylyn wrote her thoughts on the experience.
“Hi mga bessie! For the first time, Dennis and I are going to take on a challenge from one of our fans. Find out in this video!
(smiley face.)”
